Make right or left hand cookies by flipping the dough over before baking. After baking, allow time to cool, then decorate cookies with white icing.

"Hairy" hand cookies can be achieved by coating the entire top of cookie with Royal icing or piping gel. Quickly add toasted almond slivers for fingernails and coat with chocolate Jimmies. Let set for several hours to completely dry.

Outline cookie with stiff white Royal icing. Thin icing and flow white into center and allow time to dry. After white icing is completely dry add lettering in your choice of colors.
