What is CopperGifts.com?
CopperGifts.com is the online store selling the handmade copper cookie cutters of Coppersmith Ray Braman. In business and family owned since 1984, we have over 30 years of experience working with copper and other metals. Our signature product is the copper cookie cutter, available in over 1000 different shapes, each a work of old-fashioned American craftmenship. See individual item descriptions for details. All Items are shipped directly from our Kansas Workshop. CopperGifts.com formerly did business as Copper Shop.

How quickly can I receive my order?
Most of our items are handcrafted by Coppersmith Ray Braman within hours or days of your order depending on demand.
For customers in a rush we offer delivery by deadline, for earliest continental USA delivery at this moment click here.
Delivery by deadline is available for most items shipped to most continental USA street addresses and may exclude custom orders or orders with more then a few items. All Items are shipped directly from our Kansas Workshop.
FedEx requires a street address for delivery.

How much does it cost for shipping?
Shipping Costs for USA customers are offered at a fixed price irregardless of how much or little you are ordering.
Most orders are shipped through the United States Postal Service using either standard or Priority Mail. FedEx delivery is also available for continential USA retail customers.
All packages sent to United States destinations are subject to address verification and include delivery confirmation.
Shipping prices are presented during checkout. Rates and shipping options may vary due to seasonal and monthly specials. UPS and FedEx require a street address for delivery.

When will you ship my order?
Orders usually leave our Kansas Workshop in 1 to 3 business days. Large orders may be delayed and occasionally a gift or decorating item may be out of stock. We will let you know by email if there will be a shipping delay. Because we make our own cookie cutters they are always considered to be in stock. All Items are shipped directly from our Kansas Workshop.
Holiday Crunch:
We take on extra help every year to help fill our holiday orders but delivery delays on the part of delivery services may occur. Our best advice is to order early or select FedEx delivery.
Out of Stock: While we produce most items on demand in our workshop, some items we order from our suppliers. When an item has been particularly popular, we may be temporarily out of stock. We will notify you by email if this occurs.

Do you ship outside the USA?
We ship worldwide through the United States Postal Service. Due to occassional delays in customs we cannot predict when your order will arrive. Shipping options and normal delivery expectations are displayed during checkout and vary based on destination country and the estimated weight of your order. All International shipping prices shown during checkout are a sum of approximate actual postage and a $5.00 International surcharge.

Does CopperGifts.com match competitors prices?
Our prices are low when you consider the quality of our cookie cutters. We use a heavier weight of copper than our competitors and we fold one side of the copper over so the cookie cutter will be extra strong, hold its shape, and be comfortable to hold in your hand. This fold also makes the cutters safe for children to use. Each of our cookie cutters are hand shaped, hand soldered and marked with our "Maker's Mark". Because of this attention to quality, we generally cannot undercut the prices of foreign made or mass-produced cookie cutters.

Does CopperGifts.com have a catalog?
Photos of our copper cookie cutters and gifts are only available on our website.

What is your return policy?
If you need to return an item, please notify us by email or telephone. You may return unused, resalable cookie cutters or other non-food merchandise within 30 days of the invoice date. We cannot accept returns of edible decorating items. We must have a copy of the invoice to process a return. We will exchange or refund, minus the initial shipping charges. The refund will be credited to your credit card.

There is a star and name impressed on my cookie cutter, what does this mean?
Each cookie cutter produced by CopperGifts.com bears a "maker's mark" impressed onto it by the artist. The maker's mark dates back to the early middle ages when metal craftsmen marked each piece they created with a distinctive symbol, much like an artist signs a finished painting. Since our process of making cookie cutter emphasizes traditional and quality workmanship, we designed our own maker's mark. The star is the traditional mark of our workshop and the word "BRAMAN" is the last name of our owner/coppersmith, Raymond Braman (When Braman is correctly pronounced, the name rhymes).

How can I tell if the cookie cutter I bought/was given is a CopperGifts.com cookie cutter?
There are several defining characteristics of a CopperGifts.com cookie cutter. First, you should look for the "maker's mark" pictured above. Cookie Cutters made from 1984 to 1998 do not carry this mark. Other characteristics, though not definitive, include a heavier gauge copper than most cookie cutters (the cutter will have less "spring" when squeezed and is less likely to lose its shape over time) and the unit is fastened together by a line of solder.

If the solder on my cookie cutter breaks; can I return it to have it repaired?
Absolutely! So far, this has never happened- even for our buyers who use them repeatedly for commercial purposes, such as bakeries, animal treats and even clay.

How can I polish my cookie cutter?
Copper cookie cutters have a tendency to tarnish with time. Tarnished cookie cutters are still safe to use with food. To restore the natural beauty we recommend Penny Brite copper cleaner. We like Penny Brite because it is non-toxic, environmentally safe, and removes tarnish instantly. Penny Brite is great for everyday, household uses. We also carry Red Bear copper cleaner. It contains stronger chemicals and comes in a dry, powdery form. Please follow directions on the container.

Where is your store located?
At this time we do not have a public store. The address you see listed is that of our workshop, shipping department, and offices only.

What happens to the information I give you when I make an order?
Nothing. We never sell or give away customer information. You may be sent an email with a coupon code once or twice a year.

Where can I learn to make and decorate cookies, are there any books you recommend?
You can invest as little or as much time as you want in learning to decorate cookies. For beginners, we recommend a Autumn Carpenter's book "Decorating Cookies"
To learn more advanced techniques, check with a local cooking school to inquire about cake and cookie decorating classes.

Are your cookie cutters safe to put in a frying pan to make pancakes?
Yes, although we recommend cast iron skillets to avoid scratching the Teflon of modern cookware.

Do you sell your items wholesale?
Only on a very limited basis and only during the first 9 months of the year. We are currently working to expand our wholesale business. We want to be able to offer this feature to more of our customers in the future. Please remember that our cutters are hand-formed and soldered. Each cutter requires special care by Coppersmith, Ray Braman. These qualities are hard to find anywhere else, especially in the many shapes and sizes categories of copper cookie cutters we make. Inquiries can be made through our contact form.

Can you do custom cookie cutters?
Yes, we generally bill custom cookie cutters by pattern size. Browse our custom area to get an idea of our prices and available options. To order send exact outline pattern drawing (with exact dimensions) and payment information to FAX 620.421.0668 or mail to:
